Keeping gear in good condition
Clean and dry equipment before storing it, especially tents, sleeping bags and anything that has been near water. Store bicycles hanging or upright, wrap sharp edges, and keep items off the floor where possible. Fabrics and some sports gear do better in a climate-controlled unit.
Remember that fuel, gas bottles and other flammable or dangerous goods are not allowed. Drain fuel from equipment such as lawnmowers and generators, and check the prohibited items list in our rental terms.
Organise for easy swaps
Plan your unit so that the gear you use most is near the door. Clear plastic bags and labelled boxes make it easy to see what is where. We sell boxes, plastic bags, tape and bubble wrap on site.

Common questions
Can I store a lawnmower or generator?
Usually yes, but all fuel must be drained first. Flammable goods are prohibited.
Can I store gas bottles?
No. Gas bottles and other flammable or dangerous items are not allowed.
How often can I visit?
You can visit during access times. We are open from 09:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 12:00 on Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
What size unit do I need for sports gear?
A few bicycles and some boxes often fit a small unit. Tell us what you have and we will recommend a size.
